Qwen releases Qwen-Image 2.1: open image generation and editing that runs locally

Qwen-Image 2.1 is a 7B Open-weight model (32-layer DiT) that unifies text-to-image generation up to 2048x2048, editing with up to 10 reference images, and native RGBA transparency. With ~14GB of VRAM in bfloat16 it runs on consumer hardware, and ComfyUI supports it natively: a concrete step for cloud-free image production.
