Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the iaLocale site (the "Site"), a free educational resource on running artificial intelligence on your own hardware. Read them before using the Site, the newsletter, and the tools.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing the Site or subscribing to the newsletter, you accept these terms. If you disagree with any part of them, do not use the Site.
2. What the Site offers
iaLocale publishes articles, guides, and a glossary on open-source AI models you can run locally, and provides free tools such as the setup planner. All content and tools are free and require no registration, except the newsletter.
3. AI-generated content
All editorial content on the Site (articles, guides, glossary, and newsletter) is generated with artificial intelligence tools, with minimal, selective human review before publication.
Errors and inaccuracies may therefore be present. Always verify critical information against official sources before acting.
4. Intellectual property
The text, structure, and tools of the Site are the property of iaLocale. Images come from freely licensed sources (CC0 / CC-BY) with the attribution stated. Personal, non-commercial use is allowed, with a citation of the source.
For commercial use, use the contact form.
5. Tools and calculators
The tools (for example, the setup planner) provide estimates based on published technical data. They are a guide, not a performance guarantee: real results depend on your hardware and configuration.
6. Newsletter
Subscribing to the newsletter requires explicit consent. Your email address is used only to send the newsletter; a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the IP address is recorded with your consent as an anti-abuse measure. You can unsubscribe at any time.
7. Links to external sites
The Site contains links to external resources (documentation, models, open-source projects). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
8. Limitation of liability
Content is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. iaLocale is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the Site.
The information is strictly educational and does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice, nor professional technical support. Following the instructions is at your own responsibility.
9. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms at any time; the date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after a change implies acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Geneva.
